Brown Eyes

Soft as honey, but easy to find--
These brown eyes of yours
Are always on my mind.

There are a million around me,
But I only see one pair;
They are the sweetest browns there could ever be.

Most have such plain eyes,
But do they have the spots of hazel
That cover my dreaming skies?

And if a tear dropped from your browns,
They would enter my own;
Your drops would cause my frowns.

I think I loved them before I loved you,
They grab attention before your nose
And smile before your mouth,
My eyes are as brown as yours, but their love is not as true.
