A Winter Coat of Lace

I wrap this body around me,
This winter coat of lace,
This cold and brittle window,
Slung around my shoulders,
In this December shadow.

I miss your very being,
Your sad smile lit eyes,
I dream of every moment,
Every moment you are missing,
Every time that we die.

You're my winter coat of lace,
A ghost wrapped round my shoulders,
Your arms clung to my body,
In an ethereal plead for mercy.

The End
