Winter

Everything is so clean and white

When winter takes over the land

The wind, through the trees, her instruments

Plays little frosted strands

Yet, In the midst of all your beauty

In the twang of your frozen notes

Plants lie dormant and animals hide

In the inadequate warmth of their coats

And so, I tell you, a bit too late

It is time for us to part

Because I do not think I can live

In the winter of your heart

The End
