The Pros and Cons of Being a Banana

Crescented and yellow I see you all,

So yummingly packaged when you are whole,

And when I require

A little treat,

I know I can find

In you potassium to eat.

Bananas, bananas,

Monkey-chased and devoured,

What would you be like

If you all were flowers?

Bananas, bananas,

Where would you go?

Would you be so nice

If you were not the bananas we know?

You take too much time to grow yourself ripe,

And many of your fruit may lose the fight,

Oh, sibling bananas,

How you will wail,

When you are asked

“Banana, how do you ail?”

Bananas, bananas,

Monkey-chased and devoured,

What would you be like

If you all were flowers?

Bananas, bananas,

Where would you go?

Would you be so nice

If you were not the bananas we know?

The End
