Múte

Múte meaning 10 , A simple but powerful poem contrasting the nature of society and perceptions of others. An experiment into poetic form and structure.

After the fall, Smiles defile their faces

But for their prayers, they utter no graces

Calm and collected, concealing fury

Death stands unmoving, in Heaven’s Jury

Eloquent but dumb, stars cross stormy skies

Forlorn raindrops, pattering their goodbyes

Gallant, Noble- Were the lives that were led

How they would long for the warmth of their beds

Insolent, Murder! The innocent cry

Juvenile lives, so says Death, so says I.

The End
