She looks at the mountains that have chained her by law and by body

Never to leave

Never to be free

She shrinks away

In the encased rock and steel

Locked away in the dark

Her body bleeding

For the chains around her

And from her mouth

Which no longer

Produces sound

She wastes away

They left to bleed

And starve

With her wings plucked and cut

She bleeds out

Longer and longer

No sleep

No food

The chains loosen

And fall away from her wasting body locked in the dark for eternity

By the mountains she watched and loved for years keeping her from happy.
