Moths and Butterflies

A short amateur poem that I wrote on an emotional day.

She's a butterfly with beauty and grace

I'm a moth who hides my face

She's a butterfly loved and desired

I'm a moth unwanted and tired

She's a butterfly social and cool

I'm a moth an unpolished jewel

She's a butterfly admired by all

I'm a moth who just can't enthral

she's a butterfly that loves to shine

I'm a moth but that's just fine

because one day her beauty will fade

And I'll be remembered as the one who got away

The End
