Life in Marvelous TimesMature

If our farts smelled better than roses,
Cameras caught beauty in all our poses,
We accepted the shapes of our noses…
Wouldn’t that be marvelous?

If dogs obeyed our every command,
Wishing wells caved in to our demands,
Waistlines never did expand…
Wouldn’t that be marvelous?

If we all owned jet packs,
Governments did away with tax,
There was plenty of time to relax…
Wouldn’t that be marvelous?

If arguments became extinct,
We got raises from just a wink,
We never even had to think…
Would that be marvelous?

If we stopped killing each other,
Realized we’re all sisters and brothers,
Regardless of skin color…
Wouldn’t that be marvelous?

If poor and rich met in the middle,
There was no one left to play second fiddle,
We finally solved the money riddle…
Wouldn’t that be marvelous?

If we made education free for all,
Built communication lines instead of walls,
Stopped forcing each other to crawl…
Wouldn’t that be marvelous?

If I stopped writing and started doing,
All these changes began pursuing,
Stopped tearing apart and started gluing…
Wouldn’t I be marvelous?

The End
