More Than Just A Fairytale

Love, romance, fire, and fairytale

All flimsy foundations taken to be solid

Connection and hard work is not hard enough

Pleasure in company is nothing without the concept

Of star crossed lovers, simply mean to be

A concept created by movies and artifice

They are not the rule but the exception

A one in a million chance

That leaves so many in bitter tears of loneliness

Feeling failure at not having found that indescribable feeling

So many broken hearts reaching for a shadow

Set up only for disappointment

When you know that you have no ‘soul mate’

And you’re told that you aren’t their’s

How can anyone love you?

And how can you convince them that you are worth more

Than just a fairytale?

The End
