Monster
Lying there, in the dark,
familiar pain flooding my heart.
Trembling, I reach for you,
left me too soon.
All the pain, the guilt,
a knife buried to the hilt.
Just please, go away,
step back until it's safe.
Don't come too close,
but never lose hope.
Fading away, already gone,
been alone for far too long.
My dear, my darling, it's too late
for me to try to escape my fate.
I had to give in
to the cold, dreadful sin.
