Midnight Oil

She ain’t got much to say unless I’m doing the talking
but I am always the one to give out the last goodbye
She’ll disappear suddenly and return as though she never left
but I can’t complain, it’s not like I was going to leave anyways

She always says hello with a perfect smile
something I never hesitate to return
Come and sit with me for a while
n’ we’ll let the midnight oil burn

She never makes the decisions but she’ll sway me somehow
I’ll believe everything she tells me even if she is lying
She’ll listen to trash and call it music...
although if I disagree, she will have me undone

She always says hello with a perfect smile
something I never hesitate to return
Come and sit with me for a while
n’ we’ll let the midnight oil burn

The End
