Midnight Fairytale

Crawling above the chimney tops
I shudder in the illume of the moon
You're so close to me yet you're so far
I can almost see your bedroom light
in the gloom of this mystic midnight

3am and I'm weary from this solitude
my jacket still fragrant from your perfume
from the night before when I held you
Now I'm drowning in the amber streetlight
I never thought I'd feel so alone without you

If only you was beside me now
we would watch the sunrise
high above the ruby red roofs
as the mist begins to lift

But I'm crawling above the chimney tops
in the glare of the starlight...

The End
