Memories and Dust

Black skies and white lies

How does it feel to hold her close?

I gave it all to make this right

But love is like a wilting rose.

What is she that I am not?

Anger, hate and lust

Envy spins a web so well

Leaves memories and dust.

So when your name falls from her lips

How does it make you feel?

For all my life I never knew

That pain could be so real.

You try and try to let her go

Yet you're the one who chose

To feed the envy, hate, and lust

Yes, love is like a wilting rose.

The End
