Waiting

I am waiting for the sun to dawn,

And for the rolling storm to surely be gone.

For the dreams to fade into the damned abyss,

And for the whispers in my heart to dismiss.

For the happiness to break through the gloom,

And for the sorrow to be swept away by a broom.

For the hate to shatter, fall, then disappear,

And for the warm love to draw sweetly near.

I am waiting for the darkness to leave,

And for the light to finally breathe.

The End
