Sonnet VII: The Pain

My heart stays strong, but only by a thread,

Threatening to collapse at just one sign.

Is it all in my soul or just my head?

Guess I could never really call you mine.

I could not, you never belonged to me.

I have tried to help you three all the years,

But I can't get over this pain, you see,

When all I can think about are my fears.

I am afraid, my friend, why are you not?

I remember telling you once before,

You don't seem to know, you must have forgot.

Let's get it over with, settle the score.

Until you see, I will lie in the rain,

'Cause I have been broken by all the pain.

The End
