Revenge of the Radio

They say that I'm outdated.

Ha, little do they know

The most ambitious thing with wires

Is the kitchen clock radio.

I am strong and need no praise.

They say that I am a thing of the past

while they plug in their headphones

and ignore my existence

But I will withstand sticks and stones

and their words will never hurt me.

They may forget me for a day

til I set my alarm for the middle of the night

and blast Mozart til they turn me off

or unplug me, thinking the idea is bright

then I'll zap them for their trouble.

The End
