The Camera Comedian

The bird won't wait!

Your fumbling hands stand no match

Against my lens cap

Drop it to the watery depths

Good, be rid of it!

Go through ceremonious steps

To catch the bird in flight

If only you could catch the light just right!

I laugh as you press the shutter too soon

Leaving images like blurred cartoons

Four hundred dollars

Are you not impressed?

Don't you enjoy this good jest?

Of exposure battles and focus raising hackles

Don't you like a good joke?

Because a comedian

Yes that's the type of folk

I want to be

Because camera

Is just not who I was meant to be

The End
