Marble

I can the sea-shells on her midnight dress
shaking the sand from my boots, I wave to her
Starfish line the skies in a lilac hue
and somehow I know for sure I love her

Her opal necklace jangles in the wistful breeze
She is everything but I am somewhat dazed by her
She whispers with the sound of rain
our days together were formed in the ocean waves

My heart was encased in marble
But her rainbow eyes soon unlocked me
Bringing forth the vulnerable boy I am
I cannot look at her, for she is the sun in my life

The End
