9. Forever, I...

If we run, as far as we can,
Will we know how far we ran?
I’m stopping and starting,
Our dearly departing,
From the ceremony we rigged,
To the fights we fixed,
We germinate and ruminate,
Dislocate and fluctuate,
We chew on empty bones,
No need for sticks and stones,
Some voices change,
A semitone barrage,
Of whispers in the wind.

The End
