15. Made In Heaven

Depleted black shadows cascade,
arrows fade, find their way,
I’ve watched empty hands fill,
yet still we are accompanied by men,
with their war toys.

I’m no Jesus;
I’m just the story of a soldier,
forever forgotten,
Finding routes through this masterpiece.
What doesn’t grow today will grow another way.

Black curtains roll down my window panes,
An arrow hurtles, closely, red ribbons play my ear.
If you are from heaven,
then you are here to take me,
however,
I will only offer you my words.

If I could say the words to please you,
Breathe life into your angel wings,
Could I stay another day,
Would you stay another day?

If I could say the words to please you,
Breathe heavy by your side,
Could you stay forever,
Would you lay with me forever?

The End
