The furthest thing from sanity

Brings me closer than ever to you,

The last thing I would consider

Brings an ever-better view.

You’re cold and closed and distant ever more,

You won’t change me.

The only way for us to be is without others

And free.

Doubts of love and thoughts of betrayal

Bring more pain than ever before,

But take me now, just as I am,

To make us last past the morn’.

Feelings bared and shown the world

Are ever more cause for tears,

But what about further down the line,

Looking back on former years?

The lasting memories

And the heart’s tender love

Steal away the breath,

And soar high, high above.

The End
