Dreams And WishesMature

Dreaming dreams that won't come true,

That's how I feel when I'm with you.

Wishing, hoping, dreaming, moping;

It's all the same, these dreams of eloping.

Future lives, the world around,

Before full bloom, they are shot down.

Weddings, children, all a lost hope,

Escapes and daydreams, my heart's way to cope.

Wishes left scattered across the bare floor,

Lovers left crying behind closed doors.

The mind, the heart's last tormentor,

The memory, relief, heart break's saviour.

Bittersweet, yet ever strong,

I'll find a way to carry on.

No turning back, no last regrets,

Time to move on, time at last to forget.

The End
