Lovely Bastardmature

I love that lovely bastard
always on the edge of the world
He’s too far from Heaven to be holy
yet he’s always in the company of angels
even if some have fallen

I love that lovely bastard
Always riding the wave of fire water
and keeping us alive with jive
Even when life is cruel
and he is needed elsewhere

I love that lovely bastard
especially when he’s smiling
It makes the rain clouds scatter
even if only for a while
but it’s worth it all the same
