Love For You

Tonight you’ll cry at midnight

In summers and winter together

We’ve broken each other’s burdens

And I wish I could fade away

But you can’t forget me

Can you?

I swirl the curtains gently

While you sleep

And shine lights in your eyes

In the morning

So please, don’t tell me

That love is not undying

Hold me close,

And claim the distance

Greater than an ocean

My love

You denied me everything before

Why should now

You be so benevolent?

My hand sweeps through your hair

And you don’t move

Unless I shout

And even then

There is no guarantee

You even heard me.

Oh la,

That I would love for you

To see me

Not look through

And merely remember

Oh la,

That I would love for you

The End
