And When You Learn

This tempest continues through your space

Soul-shattered, blood red

Time flowing

And though it washes you

Pretending to sterilize your heart

It hurts, doesn't it?

Are you saving yourself?

Because they see you struggling

Crawling and unimaginative

On the floor

Waiting for a miracle

Are you lost again?

The end is so far away

Getting closer

That familiar, odd carriage

Chuckling towards you

With papers

and news

When you learn to wander through sunlight

And when you learn to read your maps

And when you learn

And when you love

And when you learn

It hurts, right?

The End
