Love Really Is

Love hurts like hell. Just learn that now.

Someone told me that love is a choice,
But really, love just happens.
It cannot be controlled
Or even predicted.
Love is not the weather, you see.

Someone told me that love is patient
But really, love is not that.
Love bursts when its tempers are short
Or even when they aren't
Love is impatient, you see.

Someone once told me that love never lasts
But really, it does.
Love goes on forever,
whether accidental or not.
Love can't be cut short, you see.

Someone once told me that love is not dangerous
But really, they were wrong.
Love is more dangerous than a poisonous cobra
More lethal than a medivel weapon.
Love is not a game, you see.

Someone once told me that love is gentle
But really, it's not.
It hurts.

The End
