Love Hides His Face

A minute poem still in the works. Consists of 3, 4 line stanzas. Rhyme scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF. Syllable scheme: 8444 8444 8444.

Each day I lie in wait for Love--
to rise above
the din and noise
--cheap lust and ploys.

Heavy hearts saturate the soul;
Life takes its toll.
Love hides his face
and leaves no trace.

How is it I've offended you?
Tell me, please do.
Do not despise,
You are my prize.

The End
