Fading Glory

He skips towards you
With a flute of bone
Offers a skeletal hand
A friend the Devil condones

The rictus grin
He has you now,
You take his hand
Forget your holy vows.

His putrid breath kisses
Your frozen lips
He stole your soul
Now its come to this.

You skip along the darkened path,
Flute in hand,
Mirror his laugh,
Hand in hand, I turn to see
The rictus grin,
He's come for me.

The End
