Dilemma of the Heart

You draw a smile,
I'm hooked again,
The cycle starts
I know where it ends.

A broken heart,
Another fake smile,
Being crushed by the world for a while.
You're back again,
I run to you,
It works for a while,
Then you start screaming blue.

You draw a smile,
I'm hooked again,
The cycle starts
I know where it ends.

Your cutting words
Leave gaping wounds,
I wish I could stop loving you.
Its happened again,
You break me anew
Destroying all I thought was true.

You draw a smile,
I'm hooked again,
The cycle starts
I know where it ends.

You smile at me,
My heart kicks
You take my hand to hold me
My stomach gives a flip
You're leaning close
I taste your lips
Its the fireworks of our first kiss.
As you look at me,
I'm falling for you.
But the words you say,
Which are true?

You draw a smile,
I'm hooked again,
The cycle starts
I know where it ends.

Its your dual face,
The twins inside,
One who loves me,
One who lied.
One who holds me,
Says he cares,
One who hits me,
Kicks the soul he tears
The one I love,
Hold me close,
How can I leave,
When I love them both?
You push me away,
Its happening again,
Your voice raises
Shouting about other men.
There's only you,
Please believe-its true.
The fist comes down
I'm black and blue.

You draw a smile,
I'm hooked again,
The cycle starts
I know where it ends.

A broken heart,
Another fake smile,
Being crushed by the world for a while.
You're back again,
What do I do?
Should I walk away,
Or run to you?

The End
