Malice

He lights up the night sky with his malicious eyes
A cold sneer darkening his hate-filled face
She left him,
And now she will pay;
Her tortured screams echo in the recesses of her mind,
Her pale, chapped lips parted in silence
She left him,
And now she pays;
And like a burst of lightning lost to the blackness of night,
Her life-breath she spends, paying the price;
Because she left him,
And that is all that matters.
