"Acceptance"

Dirty looks
And envious whispers
Because I have something they don't have
A free life
I will not run for acceptance
Because there will always be people
That will try to bring you down
But I smile inside
Because I know that nothing annoys them more
Than me being happy

If you want to change me
Then you can walk away now
I will not be who you want me to be
Just because it fits you
Accept my flaws and wrongdoing
And I will accept yours

Laughed at
Kicked down because "normality" doesn't fit me
I look up at my torturers
And laugh in their faces
Your words cannot hurt me
Because I know
They come from envious hearts
And weak minds

You try to break me
Convert me to be like you
Whisper behind my back
If you are so weak
Wait in a line
For me to care what you have to say
With the others
That tried to bring me down

If you want to change me
Then you can walk away now
I will not be who you want me to be
Just because it fits you
Accept my flaws and wrongdoing
And I will accept yours

Don't try to change me
Let me be myself
I just need you to
Accept my flaws
Just accept my flaws
Is all I'm asking for

The End
