Little Black Box

Little black box

Deep under ground

Marked by only

A small straw mound

In the endless silence

In the blush of spring

A new born angel

Unfolds her wings

Tiny hands clutch her dress

Tiny tears weigh her down

In her sister's tears

She soon will drown

She doesn't understand

The girl never saw

When  death came a'knocking

And opened it's maw

The girl didn't know

Her sister existed

Somehow she found out

Her eyes slowly misted

For a life far gone

Oh how she wished it

Had been so different.

The End
