Spiritual Call

I heard a song summoning me,
to a place far, far away;
elating my senses and heart.

But, I’m stuck here in this unreality,
grown inveterate to the worldly pleasures,
vegetating, rotting, oblivious to the ultimate truth.

The obnoxious weeds of carnal lust,
kills my spiritual self; leeches her food
and feeds to their master – the lecherous me!

“Oh I can’t come out of this filth and
 fate’s been written to lead a mean life”
is what I thought until…

I heard a song summoning me,
to a place far, far away;
elating my senses and heart

The End
