Emotion the Great

Where is true happiness,
and why does it always leave,
it was here but moments ago,
but has left me bereaved.

Humanity always wants control,
subduing everything it can,
emotions it can't handle,
they don't abide to the plan.

Rage ran riot from the start,
lest we discover a bane,
while deep inside lay
despair, love, pain.

Man always wanted everything,
and everything in it's place,
but feeling flew fast
and man couldn't keep the pace.

Predator to prey,
as we ourselves convulse,
under our desires,
acting on compulse

Civilization, leader of all,
could not dominate
it's own king,
Emotion the Great

The End
