Streetlight Advice

Not knowing where I'm going
Not feeling where I am,
No light there guiding,
Me through my empty sham.

Darkened pools swirl,
drowning paths of life,
before it could unfurl
it was laden with strife.

The moon teases trails,
outlines shadowed tracks,
my eyesight fails,
to sift tricks from facts

The Styx carries me swiftly,
from the unknown place
I clung to stifly
weeping without grace

This river it flows,
from life to death
every man bows,
to his final rest,

A helmsman without sight
following no course
struggling in spite
of his meagre force.

Waste of Time

The past always gone
The present never stays long
The future's ahead

The End
