Life As We Know It
Life as we know it
Its ending
Its changing
Turning inside out
And rearranging
*
No more difference of color
Gender or race
Everywhere I turn I see a brand new face
*
This planet is getting crowded
Green turning to grey
What happens when
We can’t see the light of day
*
Life as we know it
Its ending
Its changing
Turning inside out
And rearranging
*
Wars all around us
Every day’s a battle ground
I wake up every morning
To that awful sound
*
All my friends are falling down
Dead in an instant
Their bodies turn to dust
In a matter of minutes
*
Life as we know it
Its starting
Right now
We can turn it inside out
Or rearrange it
But it always ends the same
With death and destruction
So let’s throw away our sins
And deal with the repercussions
*
Cause its gotta be better than this
Living in fear all the time
Its gotta be brighter than this
Out there in the blinding light
*
*
