Death is a curious creature

That acts of its own free-will.

Death slips into peoples' lives,

Unknown until they are ripped away prematurely.

Death sometimes denies people

The right to "nope" out of life early.

Other times, Death agrees to the terms of agreement

And the people make their timely departures.

Only Death can answer the question

Of whether there is life after death

Or only a black abyss.

Death is a secretive being

Who is the most trusted person.

Death helps people take their secrets to the grave.

Many interview Death,

But none return to tell the tale.

The End
