Liar
I spit up the words
and shoved them back in,
but you caught the edges
and picked up on it quick.
I turned fast
to let it all go,
but I contorted them all
so no one would know
the message relayed
wasn't a reliable one.
I was winning opinions like political votes.
I was winning the favor of the ignorant folks.
You were the only one who saw them unfold
the way they were truly meant to be told.
