Left Wanting

I want to memorize the way your breath catches after you say my name so it will start to sound like home

I want to familiarize myself with the way your eyes shine, like prisms bending white light to brilliant color

I want to calculate the angle your smile sits on your face, always pulling more at one corner than the other

I want to know every facet of you so well that I might paint your likeness in my dreamscape

I want you to know I think you are breath taking, a work of art, every detail of you perfect in its imperfection

I want you to recognize just how much I want you

The End
