Last Words
Rip me open and dishevel my heart,
those were the last words
that tore her apart.
Wash it away in a torrent of bliss,
unable to stop a last breath--
a life-ending kiss.
Suck me dry, leave nothing to waste,
that's all it took for her
to end it all in haste.
Love me never, lust always more,
she mused over her trust
that she had never lost before.
Let my heart beat its last melody,
I could never grant her
one last symphony.
And be cold when the world becomes too hot,
how can I forget her words
when they are troubles I've begot.
