Last Protests

“Innocent! I’m innocent”

The last cries of the man at the noose

The innocent man

The betrayed man

His home; burned

His family; dead

The guilty man in the crowd

“Him! It was him!”

Too late, the hood is on

His protests muffled

The doomed man

The desperate man

It ends quickly

His screams stop

When his neck snaps

A satisfactory smile

From the guilty man

The evil man

The free man

As the innocent man swings

His last protest was one of revenge

The guilty man will pay

The End
