All the subtle hints I should have seen
now are pathetic epitaphs to my forgotten fate
Your oblivious attitude was so obscene
I never realised I was running out of time till it was too late
Like the day I waited with you for your friends
I was less than a third wheel to you
That you never cared was something I couldn’t comprehend
Because I loved you more than you ever knew
You came to my place on a warm April afternoon
we watched films as I kissed you softly
But I had the feeling you wanted to leave soon
as I gazed into your eyes, you wouldn’t even look at me
A part of me died inside that day
It’s all I have to say
It’s all I have to say
I never felt like myself ever again
