Together Alone

Move on...

She watches her lover scattered across space,
bright pieces of his soul lighting up her dark world, her spark even in death;

The lady moon watches her stars so far away
taunting, teasing
so close, yet just out of reach

Her false brightness makes them glow
swathed in her pale aura;
moving closer,
the universe pulling them apart,

For eternity,
suspended in nothingness-
fingertips almost touching,
but never quite there.

The End
