Just Write

A simple rhyming poem about the inspiration that everyday objects and events can bring to writing.

Old garden gloves,
Birdbath, sparkle,
Sweet perfume, rose buds.
Wind whispers in the sunlight.
Say nothing, just write.

Blue jeans torn,
Belt buckle, brass,
Radio songs, car horn.
Noise breaks through the twilight.
Say nothing, just write.

Flannel beach towels,
Campfire, burn,
Hooting sounds, night owls.
Embers glow into the night.
Say nothing, just write.

Soft linen pillow,
Windowpane, glow,
Sun emerges, pale yellow.
Birds chirp in the morning light.
Say nothing, just write.

The End
