Just our Time

There goes the remnants of our past
our precious times now confined to financial slavery
Passages that used to lead to a warm Wednesday evening
now sealed with the kiss of adulthood

What happened to the days
when we were free
When we could laugh without
sepia prosperity
Is there a gap in our lives
that we could not foresee
I guess it’s just our time to move on

I can still make out the old building
in the gloom of the fog still incapacitated
I close my eyes and I can hear our voices
it will never be the same now we have moved on

What happened to the days
when we were free
When we could laugh without
sepia prosperity
Is there a gap in our lives
that we could not foresee
I guess it’s just our time to move on

The End
