I look into your eyes
And heaven fell so swiftly upon me
Another deep breath, how lucky I am to be alive
Another goodbye before you spread your wings
At a loss for words to say
This shock and awe holds me in place
I held it tightly before the moment slips away
How lucky I feel that I'm alive
Before the day comes around again
Another night I wished never to end
I'm breathless, weightless this once my friend
Before the north wind comes, and leaves me condemned
What remains of me
Nothing but barely alive

I gazed and I'm burdened once more
Heaven sweeter to taste, left me cold, bitter
Sinking ever deeper, I feel nothing but torn
Imploding, ruined, I cannot wait to close my eyes

And the last notes begin to fade
Souls in shade, hearts jaded
