I've Seen Them All
I have spent my days running after shadows
So brief and tender the touch, merely to dissipate in my fingers
I've let the past and the quiet hope rule me for too long
As the truth comes crashing before my eyes
I've set myself free whilst coming to realise
The reasons why I'm still alive
And I've seen them all
I've seen every type of girl you could've known
As each failure eats at my soul
Every heart that's out of reach
Every time where I wish I could let go
Enough of letting others drive me beyond my comfort
I can't allow myself to another plaything for the self-obsessed
Now they'll know what it is to be toyed
They'll the heart's roar, the pains of being destroyed
I've lost my self-respect and now it shows
The price I paid for not letting go
And I’ve seen them all
I’ve seen every type of girl you could’ve known
As each failure eats at my soul
Every heart that’s out of reach
Every time I wish I could let go
They'll take you for everything
If you open yourself up to pain
They'll strip you of your entire being
And you're doomed to repeat the cycle
Over and over again
And I’ve seen them all
I’ve seen every type of girl you could’ve known
As each failure eats at my soul
Every heart that’s out of reach
Every time I wish I could let go
