Introspection

Recommend

I feign to be

What I am not

Tis the fear in my heart

That corrodes my chaste soul,

But I look around me

And lo and behold

In this journey from dusk to light

I am not alone!

I dither no more to rise

Above all that ties me down

Like weeds entangled with untainted bloom

Scatter them away to reach to the dawn;

Who can stop me, but myself;

This I repeat and free my soul

I am my savior

No more the mere pawn
