Reborn Anew

I space out a lot in class and miss a large majority of my professors' lectures. Often times I just day dream about random what-not, but sometimes, if I'm lucky, something artistic will come out of that and be portrayed in this work.

Cinders swirl as

I ascend from the ashes.

Reborn once again.

The winds whisper

to me, giving back

an eternal life.

I feel trapped in a

blessing, or maybe a curse.

Forsaken in time.

Flames ravage my skin,

but they cannot harm my flesh.

I'm shrouded in heat.

A Phoenix is

a deity of life, yet

harbors so much pain.

The End
