One Last Chance At Redemption

Zeke:

I live under the shade.

What for I leave, there’s no need.

By the arch and the oak,

Here I am, forever alone.

Where are my friends?

How did I fly so far away?

Reality smacks me down

And leaves me broken in a heap.

Ptelanor:

You stay near me as I rest in solitude.

What brings you to my gate?

Have you been guided by fate?

Then I bid you to stay and hear my plea.

We in this world are under attack.

While many come, we need many more.

This realm suffers, factions are tore

At the seams, everything’s bursting.

Zeke:

Who are you, why do you speak?

I am a loner, I do nothing.

Hear no plea,

Since I cannot go on.

I stay in a solemn

State of loneliness that cannot fade.

No skills or strength.

Send your appeal to another man.

Ptelanor:

Do not lie about value of life.

Everyone holds a truth in their heart.

I am a God, I speak for my part

Is to bring you and others together.

This world means more than you believe.

It’s not about you, it’s about everyone!

The battle is far away from won,

Destroy selfishness and care for others!

Care for those, they will care for you.

Throw yourself back into the world.

Don’t leave yourself behind

Where no one will look to get you back.

Zeke:

I’m a freak,

I’m a creep,

I’ve got zero to my name.

I’m alone,

Got no home,

Nothing left to remain.

Why would I help

When the people would shut me down.

One look at my body,

And they will curse that they had me.

What must I do

You did not say.

Your evasive behavior,

Wishes that I stay.

I don’t go,

I don’t adventure.

Find a hero,

I am no one.

Ptelanor:

Heroes don’t start as they shall become.

It takes time to build confidence.

From life you come whence

From past into the future.

A dark mage breaks the land,

He destroys what he sees.

Despite the people’s pleas,

He took the world and shot the people down.

Zeke:

Does this pertain to me?

Why am I the one to go forward?

Talk as much as you will,

But I wish to stay.

Ptelanor:

You are selfish!

Can you look at others?

Why do you pity yourself so much?

You’re a loner if you stay,

But if you shall leave.

A life with no meaning

Will become something more!

Zeke:

Empty words from a self-proclaimed God!

Dare I listen? I dare not.

Dare me to I dare you not.

Leave me be as I wish.

Stop throwing me into the conflict.

Ptelanor:

Feel the sting of lightning,

Feel the surge of power inflicting pain.

What do you suppose you gain

From insulting a God?

People are in peril,

This mage brings darkness down.

Help is needed to knock off his crown

So his power is gone forever.

You won’t be alone!

Do not worry, more have heard the call.

Many more are hearing it,

Still others wait to listen.

Zeke:

I’m a freak,

I’m a creep,

I’ve got zero to my name.

I’m alone,

Got no home,

Nothing left to remain.

Maybe all I need is to get away

Get away

Pick my own poison.

Ptelanor:

Wait here, I say.

Your company will arrive.

Find the man in that land.

Destroy his rule and let him run away.

The darkness can be banished today!

Don’t let him succeed in his evil deeds.

You and your company will fight.

They day can be saved by you!

All of the others will be with you too.

Become confident within yourself.

Zeke:

There’s nothing to me,

But even less to this land.

Here I shall rest.

Here I shall stay.

I don’t care

What happens to me now.

I will put my own twist

Into the tale and throw myself in.

I will enter the fray.

Destroy what I must.

I will earn my confidence.

I can earn redemption…

I’ve got one last chance at redemption.

I’m starting to think

It’s better this way.

I’ve got one last chance at redemption.

I’m starting to think

It’s meant this way.

Ptelanor:

Take your chances

Make your time.

The sun rolls on,

We must make haste!

Off on your way,

Find your fate.

Earn your faith

Deep inside your soul.

Zeke:

I’ve got one last chance at redemption.

I’m starting to think

It’s better this way.

I’ve got one last chance at redemption.

I’m starting to think

It’s meant this way.

I will find my fate.

I will find my faith.

My redemption awaits

On the other side.

Now here I will wait.

I may be a freak,

I may be a creep,

But I’ll do what must be done.

The End
